For many parents of young children, celebrating valentine's day outside the house is not always an option!
Making time to get out and away as couples is very important, but we all know once you are a parent that option is not always possible; especially if you don't have a stay-at-home helper or a trusted family member to babysit. Maybe it's too cold to leave the house or you have very young babies, or the kids could be sick and need you, the list is endless!!
Part of you is so eager to connect as a couple; yet you fear you don't have lots of options. Well.. Fret not!!
I've decided to share some in-house valentine date ideas with you so you can still have fun and probably the best time of your life with your significant other.
Of course you must put your little ones to bed first and then pick what your like off the list ;)
1- Cook a meal together
Find a new recipe (could be an easy one or choose a sophisticated one..) you both want to try, or just watch your husband's inner chef submerging as he let go of his creative cooking talents.
Results? You'll end up enjoying an activity, sharing a common interest, and finally enjoying your meal together.
2- DIY and Surprise each other!!
Then how about you opt for an all day meals cooked with love for your significant other?
You can kick off your day with a simple breakfast for Him / her or maybe a Family one altogether! Or you can send your spouse off to work with some love notes and few yummy snacks in their lunch box
Then if can put on your apron and start cooking those meals and treats and surprise your spouse with a romantic dinner
I've gathered around some of the fun ones off the internet...
Choose a caterer and enjoy mouthwatering valentine pates cooked, designed, and delivered straight to your door!!
Here's some ideas.
4- Share your Interests
Or how about playing together? Pick some nice board game or playing cards?
Perhaps Truth or dare? Get to re-know each other while having some fun times.
If you want you can simply enjoy some quiet reading time in each other's arms!
5- Create your own Spark
Be daring, get intimate, feel young again, and most important...remeber you were a couple first before you became parents :)
Life with young children doesn’t have to be the end of Valentine’s Day celebrations, or make it sound like any other day..NO!!! it just means making some changes to be able to include the whole family till the kids goes off to bed and then making it all about JUST the TWO of YOU..
