I do know that today and after all these years...I feel overwhelmed, tired, burnt out & I know for a fact I am not the ONLY ONE!!
Our bodies have changed. Our lives have changed. Our families have changed!!!
I start my day with a certain task & just like that I end up struggling with 5-6 other tasks all at once or one after the other!!! DO U KNOW THE FEELING? I don't even remember how I got there! 1 minute I am tackling a certain task and without even feeling it I shift to another and another and another!!! House chores are like MAGNETS!!!
Lots of times I don't even know how my days started or ended!! BUT I do know time is flying by super fast!!!!
YET, I know I’m not the only overwhelmed mom out there.
So...Why we are feeling this WAY?
Motherhood is tough....there’s no denying about that!!! There’s little or NO sleep, endless daily house chores (especially if you don't have a stay at home helper or even a daily one), and of course always a diaper to change & accidents to attend too!!! And it seems there’s always some mom who has it all figured out, too, leaving you feeling less than adequate!! We use to go movies every weekend, have time for gym & parties!! but those days have been exchanged for full-time laundry duty among other chores, and because of this, we are feeling guilty!!
2nd you start wondering: AM I the ONLY ONE?? This is when you start thinking if anyone else understands what you are going through? And the ugly SELF DOUBT phase starts!!! You might even secretly cry as you realize that keeping the house & all in it clean is a pointless endeavor. You need an encouraging call / chat or even a coffee break from a friend YET everyone is as busy and are as overwhelmed as YOU that NO ONE dares to spare any time!!
We are moms & Being a mom is hard. We are not doing it WRONG!!! because in MOTHERHOOD there's no RIGHT or WRONG way..it's called Motherly Instinct...and as MOMS WE DO - ACT & Behave with our KIDS based on that INSTINCT...
SO in the end and NO MATTER WHAT... just Remember 1 thing....
YOU are not ALONE!!
