We wanted a quite area up in the mountains, clean with fresh air, and no worries about social distancing or Covid-19.
Our eyes fell on Farmvillebarouk and I'd love to share our personal family experience with you!

Few weeks ago, we've decided to treat ourselves for a well-deserved family getaway after an intensive and stressful 3 month lockdown.
We wanted a quite area up in the mountains, clean with fresh air, and no worries about social distancing or Covid-19. Our eyes fell on Farmvillebarouk and I'd love to share our personal family experience with you!

Last week we decided to celebrate our anniversary while exploring a new area in Lebanon. You can read all about our hotel review here Family Staycation at Hotel Layali Al Sham .
Our destination was ANJAR area, and it was our first time we visit this beautiful city and explore one of its famous ruins.
Sundays are our Family day out and we love going around on road trips exploring new areas in Lebanon or doing something new and fun! Last Sunday happened to be the 9th Cherry Festival in Hammana. We've visited the festival for the past 2 years and we just love the area!
Hammana, a mountain village around 40 km above Beirut is famous for it's juicy and big cherries. And this year we decided to go for the Cherry picking event however, we decided gathering a group of likeminded families will be more fun! Sharing our experience! Couple of weeks back I had the pleasure to prepare and throw my very first Family day out for a private group! We picked a Sunday and our destination was Tannourine.
This lovely village lies in a collection of valleys and ravines and can be accessible from different roads (Either via Douma / Bcharre Road - Batroun's newly constructed highway or up from Jbeil / Mar Charbel road..we chose the latter.) We wanted to experience Apple Picking with the kids so high altitude location was a must. Sharing with you how it all went.
Saida a city full of outstanding experiences. You can't visit this wondrous city without falling in love with its friendly people, unique hospitable atmosphere, wide history, and yummy food. From walking around in the historical downtown, passing by the modern side of this majestic city, to breathing the smell of the sea next to the Sea Castle.
It's simply a "must-see" destination that's not to be missed. We’ve compiled a whole bunch of things you can do with your family. Here it goes:
For a long time I've been longing to go visit this place.. Just like many of you, I've heard lots of reviews, & comments.. I followed all the events and kept checking all the posts but I never had the chance to personally go see this place till now!
Was all the reviews over-rated? Was it worth it? and above all..would I go again?
Broumana is becoming the NEW must visit HOT SPOT in Lebanon!
With last year's launching of Printania Garden, this year's recent launching of Printania Villa, add up to Souk el Akl Food Events and several other Festivals, Broumana managed to become a great summer destination suitable for all ages! There's lots of things you can do, and endless options of restaurants which you can freely choose from. However, I'll share with you how WE spend a Full, Fun, and Educational day in this cool place!
When you have lovely weather and sunny weekends it means you should go out and make the best out of it!! 1 of my favorite destinations (after Jbeil) is Batroun...but if you are heading from Beirut than it's relatively a bit far (requires around 1hr & up to 1.5hr in traffic). Thus, I'd recommend a family weekend getaway for an ultimate rich, entertaining, fun, educational & unique family experience!!!
Sharing with you ours... Swiss Mountains? Nooo...This beautiful site is in #BeitMery!!!
Personally, I feel so happy when I bump into such amazing sites..a small reminder that my country is still beautiful!!! When we crave to spend some family quality times admiring those beautiful sites, yet don't wish to drive for hours we jump off to nearby locations...Yes that is possible!! You can actually spend a full family day in Beit Mery area which is only 15min off Beirut City!!

Autumn at the doors with September approaching and weather is gradually getting better and cooler... which means it is time for those outdoor plans!! However, going out of Beirut with Kids could end up frustrating, if you have no idea where to go or what's their to do with them!! To avoid this hassle; I will gladly share with you A family day out in Barouk Area with lots of different options to choose from!!
What makes our Family Days Out both fun and successful? Because they are all about these 3 important factors.. the 3E's!!! Education- Eating - Entertainment!! |
