As with every year, spending a family staycation is 1 of the best ways to enjoy and celebrate our special day. Not to mention that taking a mini family vacation (or getaway or staycation) can be one of the most important bonding activities for the entire family.
For us, it is always a great opportunity to explore our own country especially that we love new adventures !
The Biggest challenge is looking out for new places to discover and explore.
Our latest pick was ANJAR!
Sharing with your our enjoyable experience!
Lodging In - Hotel Layali Al Shams
After a 2 hours drive from Beirut We finally arrived to our destination around 2:00 p.m. Let me tell you we were so taken by the beauty of this resort! It's more like a hidden gem located in the shining valley of Bekaa and surrounded by beautiful gardens and open green spaces. Layali Al Shams hotel has 20 luxury suites each with it's own decorating style.
We were welcomed by a very friendly lady who took care of our check-in booking and reserved our anniversary cake.
Our room was decorated for the occasion and it was simply clean, spacious, and equipped with everything! From a welcoming basket of fresh fruits, to complimentary water bottle and tea and nescafe sachets, to room amenities and FREE WiFi.
The suite had a Chimney and a Jacuzzi Tub with His and Hers sink, toiletries, super soft Bathrobes and slippers!
We enjoyed our relaxing walks in its spacious green space, watched the mesmerizing sunset, and played in nature!
Dining Experience at Restaurant Al Shams مطعم الشمس
Shams is a huge restaurant with both Indoor and outdoor seaings and its known for its diverse menu and generosity. It is a huge place that is always expanding with friendly staff and great food. They are also famous for their quick service, hospitality, tasty food, and very affordable prices.
After finishing the mouthwatering mezza, our little ones enjoyed playing in the arcades area and next time we visit we are planning to try out their Bowling area !
Aside from the amazing Lebanese cuisine we also loved Double chocolate cake for our anniversary along to the rich in-room breakfast which was catered by Al Shams Restaurant.
Verdict?
As simple as that, we didn't expect to enjoy our stay as much as we did!
Entire staff were super friendly and that also added up to our enjoyable experience.
Stay tuned as I share our exploring trip and first time visit to the Omayyad Ruins.
