Swiss Mountains? Nooo...This beautiful site is in #BeitMery!!!
1st we kicked off our lazy Sunday by visiting the DKCC... Located on the northern edge of the pine filled Lamartine's Valley, DKCC is a private club just 15 km from Beirut & 600 meters above sea level...On its terrace you can enjoy a great variety of Delicious open buffet catered every other Sunday (call them up for reservations) while you get to enjoy a view that stretches from the famous Mount Sannine to the coast of Beirut City. Here's my personal review on this beautiful place...

Deir El Kalaa...Monastery of the Citadel!!
Located on the highest hill of Beit Mery the area of Deir El Kalaa owes its name to the convent Saint Jean El Kalaa!! The area of Deir El Kalaa holds various ruins dating from the Phoenician, Byzantine and Roman era. This place is classified "ruins" by the Lebanese ministry of tourism and it constituted until a recent time an important arts center in the country (in particular with the annual festival of Deir El Kalaa).
Tips: Just make sure to keep the place clean and watch the cliff in the 1st Garden as my super active son almost ran off it!!
