What to say to my Daughter on IWD?

On MARCH 8 women around the globe come together to celebrate a very important occasion, International WOMEN DAY!!

Around this time of the year, lots of organizations and associations, honor the amazing women who have made a difference both online and offline.. They throw global initiatives to showcase their achievements, and to keep pushing for gender equality.

As for me, my ultimate mission is to pave the way for my almost 6 years old daughter and plan for all the things I'd like to teach her, all the words I'd like to share with her, and how to empower and inspire her!

Honestly, I'm still short on the right words. Sometimes I feel she's still too young to understand any... Or maybe she is not!

Personally, I am striving to help her grow up to be respected, loved and appreciated for who she is. I hope she will stand for what is right, and stand for others who are less privileged.

She shouldn’t be anything else than what SHE wants to BE...

Everything that revolves around HER from her Personal Life, to her Feelings & Emotions, her Thoughts, actions, decisions, passion, dreams, job, plans;all of these should be HERs alone to control and decide upon.

I know I have a little warrior in process who so far is far from a princess!

Till she is OLD enough to learn what she wants from this world....
Till she is WISE enough to make her own calls...
Till she is MATURE enough to sort out and control her feelings and emotions....

Till that day comes, I will do my best to empower her with all the tools and knowledge she will needs!
I will raise her to be compassionate, kind, loving, and above all RESPECTFUL!!
I will push her further I've ever pushed myself and help her achieve whatever she can!!

I will teach her to SPEAK OUT and to believe that her VOICE MATTERS!

As for my son, who will be one of the future men in this society who will learn to appreciate, value, and respect all WOMEN.

Parents start as early as possible in showing your BOYS how to respect, honor, love, and above all look equally at WOMEN!!

Teach HIM how to TREAT HER LIKE A LADY..make her feel like a QUEEN and not anything less!!

The International Women's Day 2019 campaign theme of #BalanceforBetter is a call-to-action for driving gender balance across the world.

How will you help make a difference?

That is true! My daughter too is just like yours. If a girl really has a dream and determined to get the dream she had, she will then grow to be a woman who has a vision. In fact, I am really a proud mom of her. Without her, I guess my life would be boring and plain. I thought that she will not remember her dreams when she was young, but I guess that I was wrong.
